Important site updates & what about the Shen?

Theres not been much posted on the site in the last few months for one very simple reason the site is being completely rewritten, reworked and reskinned. I thought it would be done by now, but it isnt, and for that I apologize. I expect that within another 30-45 days, you will see not only a new site, but a whole new vision being played out on Deepest Health. Those of you who have been with me for a while will know that this has been coming for a while and I appreciate your patience. We all do. Whats coming?

  • A beautiful new look that will be easier to navigate, with all new content mixed with archived content being re-released for the benefit of people who havent been here since the beginning.
  • A store containing books, multi-media education and of course Chinese Medicine Quarterly. All of what lives in the store has one purpose to excite people about the depth of Chinese medicine, especially Chinese herbalism, through deep & engaging information.
  • An all new bonus for newsletter sign-ups that takes the previous, quite simple, outline of a method for learning Chinese herbs and supercharges it.
  • A revitalized forum for community interaction.
  • An entirely revamped vision that will be shining clearly through everything that comes from Deepest Health from here on out.

    • Its been a long process figuring out where this thing wants to go, but I think I have a read on it, now.

    You might also be wondering about the next issue of Chinese Medicine Quarterly. We learned a lot from the first issue, and deeply appreciate everyone who has supported us by buying that inaugural issue. Were taking all that learning and channeling it into the next issue which will focus on the Shen, or Spirit. Authors will take that concept and run with it, making us think about it in new and interesting ways. We will also be debuting a new column by Howard Kim that seeks to dive into a single herb as i! t is use d in culinary expression still meditating on that theme Spirit. We look forward to sharing it with you.

    If you have a minute, and would like to share, please leave a comment mentioning anything youre especially interested in seeing on the site. While we did do a survey a while back, I know that not everyone who wanted to give comments was able to do so. While were putting the finishing touches on this thing do you have any last minute input? Anything youve been looking for on the Internet that deals with Chinese medicine but you just cant find?
